Grief is one of the most devastating experiences a person will encounter in life. Donald Porter Ministries offers lectures that will address the common issues the grieving will encounter following the death of a loved one or loss. DPM offers provocative lectures, group discussions, role plays, one-on-one counseling sessions, and a host of videos to aid the grieving.

General Objective: To train participants to identify the various types of loss and grief as well as coping strategies for helping grieving individuals and families manage their grief.
 

In this powerful workshop, participants will:

• Examine the issues grieving individuals encounter following the death of a loved one.

• Gain enhanced skills and knowledge of grief and loss in various situations.

• Learn how to cope with loss and grief, as well as how to develop managing strategies to deal with the death of a loved one.

• Provide a safe environment where the grieving can express their grief.

• Discuss the issues grieving individuals grapple with during holidays and other significant days.

• Examine the issues children experience in the grieving process.

General Objective: To provide participants with tools and strategies on how to effectively minister to the bereaved, as well as an understanding of the dynamics of grief.
 

In this innovative workshop you will:

• Gain insights about death from a Biblical perspective.

• Explore the issues grieving individuals and families encounter following the death of a loved one.

• Examine the common grief experiences and grief reactions.

• Learn how to effectively minister to grieving individuals and families.

• Acquire enhanced skills and knowledge to develop or repurpose a Bereavement Ministry.

• Discuss the issues children experience in the grieving process, as well as provide tools to effectively minister to them.
